First Inaugural Newsletter!!

News Flash:

Here at Hiring America, we're a little obsessed with telling stories for and about our transitioning military families as they make the jump into private sector employment.
Because we travel the country and see so many great stories (our own and in the work of others) we decided to put together a weekly collection of the news "you need to know" to stay current and informed on the veterans employment space.
For each story we curate for you, we turn away dozens of others, so we hope you find our new newsletter project to be a useful resource, whether you are looking a new position, or looking to hire the folks who know how to get the job done.
We would love to your thoughts about what you think, how we could make this most useful for you, and of course - keep your ears out for any great stories we should be sharing with the community!

The Man Who Drives The Wall That Heals: Moving The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall Replica With TMC Transportation

It's been 50 years since the United States involvement in the Vietnam War. Over 50,000 American troops lost their lives and countless families were impacted. Some call it the war of the forgotten. Many are unable to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington DC so the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund has created a replica of the wall that is designed to travel communities throughout the country. Since it's dedication the wall that heals has visited more than 400 cities and towns throughout the nation, spreading the memorial's healing legacy to millions. We had the opportunity to follow TMC transportation and their Vietnam veteran driver, David Wheeler, to West Point Military Academy and saw first hand why it's so important that we remember.
