A little over a year ago I started talking to Jeff Hall, DAV's National Employment Director. He explained to me all the things that DAV is doing to help transitioning military members find jobs and I was absolutely floored. I thought DAV put almost all their resources into helping disabled veterans file their VA claims and made sure they got their benefits. NOT True.
Yes, DAV does ensure veterans get their benefits but they also sponsor and help put on over 100 career fairs all over the country PLUS virtual fairs. That is amazing to me! I've been to a couple of their career fairs and a lot of great employers come out. Jeff and his team are personally involved in these fairs and make sure that veterans attending have the best experience possible and even do introductions to companies they think would be a good fit!
Hiring America and DAV will be teaming up to show you a veteran's experience at a career fair first hand that will be aired on the show, included in the newsletter and on our social channels later on this fall. I can hardly wait and I am so proud that we are finally able to call DAV our partner! We will be hearing more from DAV throughout the year but as always if you have a question you want to get answered let me know and Jeff and I can connect you to the right person!
