I want to let you know that next week we have the honor of hearing from Charles (Chuck) Sevola, Jr. Chuck is Vice President, Veterans Initiatives at Prudential Financial, Inc. At the recommendation of USAA's AVP of Military Advocacy, Mike Kelly, (Thanks Mike!) I was able to meet Chuck Sevola and James Beamesderfer at the Military Spouse Employment Advisory Council in San Antonio. I was so impressed at all that Prudential is doing to help both veterans and spouses have successful transitions into the civilian sector. I am super excited to get to hear more from Chuck next week!
Chuck was a communications officer in the Army and has done amazing things since joining Prudential. Some of his career highlights in Prudentials Life Insurance Business were as program manager for Y2K remediation and head of development for product administration platforms. He also was responsible for the integration of infrastructure applications into a new data center in Tokyo Japan. Chuck has been the key architect for VETalent, a veterans intern program as well as a leader in VETnet, a veterans business resource group.
Tune in next week to hear more from Chuck Sevola!
This week we let you be a fly on the wall during a SHRM Roundtable Discussion about how companies can become "Veteran Ready". Andrew Morton, Director of Social Engagement at SHRM, asks "What does it mean for a veteran to be ready for that next mission in their life and what does that mean for the employer in terms of embracing and really helping that veteran drive?" Check out our Episode of the Week to find out!
