As a former Marine Corps Spouse, Maggie Hahn moved all over the U.S. with two small children in tow while her Marine was active duty. Through seven PCS moves and nine deployments, she never knew what the next move would hold. Depending on the installation, there may or may not have been something available in her field or related skillset, so like many of her other military spouse in the same boat, she had to adjust to each new environment and available opportunities (or lack thereof).
Prior to joining USAA, Maggie succeeded as an entrepreneur. She was looking for flexibility in her new environment and found she was the one best able to create that flexibility by working for herself. While looking for an opportunity at her seventh duty station she experienced a horrible first-time home closing experience and immediately saw an opportunity to fix the process. A month later, she sold her idea to four home builders in the San Antonio Area and “Details-Details” was born, bringing an objective second set of eyes to each scheduled home closing she contracted for. Maggie was also a Professional Development Trainer for Marine Corps Community Services, a Loan Originator and volunteered hundreds of hours for the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, to which she attributes landing her first corporate job.
Today, Maggie is a Military Affairs Relationship Director focusing on Military Spouse and Family initiatives for USAA. She knows her patchwork quilt of various jobs (volunteer or paid) throughout her military spouse life paved the way for her position today.
