My Real Dream Job

Hi everyone, I've been out of the loop for a while. Why? I was trying to honestly answer the question: "If I could do anything what career would I do?" Sound familiar? I'm sure it does, I am probably not the only one asking this.
I have tried to find an answer that could incorporate some of the logistics and/or recruiting experience I had in the military. I don't want to waste all of that right? And that seems to be the only thing that employers are interested in so I should stick to what is working for me right???
Well I almost accepted another job in the recruiting/staffing industry when I realized that it just didn't feel right. I realized I keep following the jobs that reach out to me...but what job do I really want if I could be ANYTHING? The answer has always been simple for me. I have always wanted to be a Sports Psychologist. So, I finally gathered up the courage, reinforced by my husband, to go for it this fall I am not going to wait for another year to go by. My GI Bill is still waiting for me to use it!!
I have been enamored with Psychology and Sports Psychology ever since I first had a Sports Psychologist show me the power of visualization at age 10. I majored in Psychology and then once I joined the military I slowly started to give up on the dream of doing anything in the psych field ever again... until today. Today I am making a commitment to explore a topic that I love and give myself permission to do so. If anyone has any good suggestions for Sports Psych programs please let me know!
I hope all the new flowers blooming and warm temperatures will allow each and everyone of you to open up your mind and make sure that you are on a path that you love as well. Transitioning out of the military is a journey. Don't put pressure on yourself to find THE job but just make sure you do an azimuth check. We all can do a lot of jobs well but don't let the job market and recruiters determine your path...only you know what you can truly put your heart and soul into.
