Hiring America - DAV Job Fair Edition
Dear Hiring America Family,
One of the most daunting steps in the military transition can be finding meaningful employment in the civilian sector. Today’s veterans are looking for more than just a way to earn money, they are searching for a purpose and a fulfilling career. DAV and RecruitMilitary have a partnership that helps fill this gap for the military community. Since 2014, DAV has hosted more than 850 career fairs – both virtually and in person – that have led to over 164,000 job offers being extended.
While the results speak for themselves, DAV and RecruitMilitary put in a lot of work before the hiring events kick-off. Recruit Military hosts pre-event seminars that show candidates the “roadmap to success.” Everything from how to use the virtual interface to preparing an elevator pitch is covered and candidates will automatically be invited to attend when they sign up for a DAV career fair.
Job fairs can be intimidating, and virtual events can add an extra layer of uncertainty, but RecruitMilitary’s platform is designed to help job seekers navigate the events with ease.
