Program to Prevent Veteran Home Foreclosures Has Been Revived
A plan to help veterans struggling with mortgage payments stay in their homes is set to become law following Senate approval. In a voice vote Tuesday night, the Senate passed a bill establishing a partial claims program that will allow veterans with Department of Veterans Affairs home loans to move missed mortgage payments to the end of their loan term. The bill, already approved by the House, now awaits President Donald Trump’s expected signature to become law.

Christian Lopez, a 30-year-old veteran, is a testament to how courage and determination can change lives. This year, he’ll compete in his first National Veterans Wheelchair Games (NVWG) as a member of the Puerto Rico PVA team from the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan.
Global Ground Support Launches Group to Support Military Veterans
Global Ground Support has launched an industry group to support military veterans entering or working in the ground support equipment (GSE) sector. Called Veterans of GSE, the initiative aims to connect service members from all military branches to “build a strong and supportive professional network,” according to the company. Global Ground Support added that the group will also promote veteran hiring and ease transitions across the GSE industry.
