This Week on Hiring America

Hello Hiring America Family!
The excitement is undeniable as the Artemis program marks a historic return to the Moon, reminding us what’s possible when courage, innovation, and service come together. Inspired by that same spirit, we’ve carefully curated this week’s newsletter with stories and resources designed to truly resonate with you—whether you’re navigating life after service, building a career, leading a community, or simply looking for inspiration. From space exploration and veteran career pathways to leadership support and personal growth, each piece was selected with intention to inform, support, and empower you.
First, step inside the remarkable journey of Chris Cassidy and discover what it really takes to go from military service to space exploration. You’ll learn how his path led to the International Space Station, what launch day actually feels like, the real risks behind spacewalks, and the unforgettable perspective of seeing Earth from orbit.
Then, get an inside look at how military expertise continues to shape modern space exploration. Discover how NASA’s first crewed Moon mission since the Apollo 17 is supported by veterans like Reid Wiseman and Victor J. Glover Jr., along with key contributions from the United States Army, United States Space Force, and United States Navy—highlighting the powerful connection between defense experience and the future of space missions.
Next, explore why self-advocacy can feel unfamiliar for many veterans—and why it’s essential after military service. In this article, you’ll learn how the “push through it” mindset, while valuable in combat, can hold you back in civilian life, and discover practical ways to speak up, seek support, and better navigate challenges beyond the military.
Additionally, learn how to turn your military aviation experience into a civilian career—and what might be slowing you down. Find out why Federal Aviation Administration certification is essential, how it impacts your job opportunities, and what steps you can take to fully leverage your skills in the civilian aviation industry.
Lastly, watch how the Council for Military Spouse Clubs helps leaders successfully run and grow their spouse clubs. Hear about the resources, guidance, and community support available to navigate challenges and build a thriving, connected group.
We’d love your help growing our community—if you know a veteran, spouse or supporter who would benefit from or enjoy Hiring America, please share it with them. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to spreading value to as many readers as possible. You can click HERE for the subscription link.

You Fought for Others — Now Fight for Yourself
